Verdict
Independent testing is blunt. In one US lab test, a Dyson purifier delivered 89 CFM of clean air, while a far cheaper Levoit managed 140. You're paying for the design and the heater-fan combination.
If you want one appliance that heats, cools and purifies, fair enough. If clean air is the goal, a Levoit 400S does more for less than a quarter of the price.
