Verdict
Independent lab tests put its clean-air rate at about 340 m³/h, and it clears a test room in 24 to 30 minutes. Few units at this price get close. The app's schedules and auto mode work well, and it's quiet enough to sleep beside.

How it handles Perth's air
- Bushfire smoke: good. The carbon stage helps with smell. Keep it to rooms under about 28 m² on smoke days.
- Pollen: good. Fast enough to keep a closed living room clear in spring.
- Dust: excellent. Its speed makes short work of dusty summer days.
- Pets: good. Catches dander; carbon takes the edge off smells.
Watch out
The “160 m²” on the box assumes one air change an hour. Levoit dropped its “HEPA H13” wording in 2023, so the filter grade is now unstated. The pre-filter is bonded to the main filter, so you can't rinse it on its own.
