We collect as little as we can, we don't sell personal information, and we handle what we do hold in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect, and why
Visit statistics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful: pages viewed, approximate location to city level, device and browser type, and how you arrived. It uses cookies. You can block these in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on.
Your email address, if you sign up for alerts
If we offer air-quality and price alerts and you sign up, your email address is stored by our email provider and used only to send those alerts. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Emails you send us
If you write to us, we keep your message only as long as we need to reply and fix anything you've reported.
Your area choice
If you choose an area on the live air-quality reading, that choice is saved in your own browser so it's remembered next time. It's never sent to us.
Other services your browser talks to
- Air-quality readings are requested from the World Air Quality Index project (api.waqi.info). Like any website, it can see your IP address.
- Product images load from the manufacturers' own websites.
- Retailers. A “Where to buy” button sends you to the retailer through a short redirect on our domain. The retailer or its affiliate network may set cookies to record that you came from us. Their privacy policies apply from that point.
Your choices
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@clearairperth.com.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, email us first and we'll try to put it right. If that doesn't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
