Verdict
HouseFresh measured about 251 m³/h, which suits a bedroom, study or small living room. What sets it apart is the pet design: a washable pre-filter that catches fur before it clogs the main filter, a pet mode that steps up the fan, and pelleted carbon for odour.
It's now cheaper than the Levoit 300S, with nearly double the airflow. If you don't have pets and want more airflow, the Xiaomi Air Purifier 6 is better value.

How it handles Perth's air
- Bushfire smoke: fair. Fine as a clean bedroom with the door shut.
- Pollen: good in a bedroom.
- Dust: good.
- Pets: excellent. The washable pre-filter and pet mode are why you'd buy it.
Watch out
The air-quality sensor needs a wipe every few weeks or auto mode drifts. Levoit no longer states a HEPA grade in the US. Genuine filters were on a waitlist at Levoit Australia in October 2026, so buy a spare when you see one.
